Voting postponed at 2 Noakhali centres

Voting at two polling centres of Noakhali have been postponed due to the attack and looting electoral equipment.

In Noakhali-3 constituency, the voting was postponed at 133 no. Purba Babunagar government primary school centre on Sunday morning as a group of miscreants looted the electoral equipment on Saturday night. Begumganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ruhul Amin confirmed the matter to Jago News.

In Noakhali-2 constituency, the voting was postponed at Ebtedayee Nurani Madrasa centre this morning as seven people including a presiding office were injured by the activists of BNP-Jamaat, said the officer-in-charge of Sonaimuri Police Station Abdus Samad.

Besides, electoral equipment including ballot box were looted, he added.

The injured people first were sent to Noakhali General Hospital and then to Dhaka for better treatment.
